Privacy Policy

StoneUp is built so your training data stays with you.

What we collect

StoneUp has no accounts, no advertising and no tracking. Your training data never leaves your iPhone. The only information that does is what's needed for StoneUp Pro subscriptions, handled by Apple and RevenueCat (see below).

What stays on your iPhone

Your name (if you add one), training preferences, plan and workout history are stored only on your device. The AI coach runs on your iPhone using Apple's on-device models; your messages are not sent to us or to any third party.

Voice coach

If you use it, StoneUp uses the microphone only while voice mode is open. Speech is turned into text on your iPhone with on-device recognition, and replies are spoken by your iPhone. Audio and transcripts are not recorded, stored or sent anywhere. On devices that can't recognise speech on the device, voice mode stays off.

Notifications

Rest alerts and optional training-day reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. If you start a free trial of StoneUp Pro, one reminder is also scheduled for the day before the trial ends. Nothing about notifications is sent to us. You can turn them off in Settings at any time.

Subscriptions (StoneUp Pro)

StoneUp Pro is an optional subscription, available from version 1.1. Everything you need to train stays free. Purchases are made and charged by Apple through your Apple Account; we never see your payment details.

From version 1.1, StoneUp uses RevenueCat, a subscription service, to unlock Pro on your devices. When the app opens, it checks with RevenueCat whether Pro is active, sending a random identifier created by the app and basic technical details such as app and iOS version and your App Store country. If you subscribe, RevenueCat also receives your purchase history: which plan, when it started, renews or ends, and its price. That identifier is not linked to your name, email or Apple Account, and none of this is used for advertising or to track you across apps. We use it to unlock Pro and to see, in aggregate, how plans and subscription screens perform. RevenueCat's policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.

Manage or cancel anytime in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions on your iPhone, or from StoneUp's Settings.

Apple Health

Only if you switch it on. StoneUp saves finished strength workouts and an estimated energy value to Apple Health, and reads your body weight to make that estimate. Health data is never used for advertising, never shared with anyone, and never leaves your iPhone through StoneUp. You can turn access off anytime in Settings › Health.

Sharing

Nothing is shared unless you create a share card and choose where to send it. You decide which details appear on the card.

Deleting your data

Settings › Delete all data removes everything StoneUp stored on your iPhone. Deleting the app does the same. Purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat aren't affected; to have the RevenueCat record removed, email us from the address below.

Health information

StoneUp is a fitness app, not a medical service. It does not diagnose or treat any condition.

Children

StoneUp is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
